About Us

It All Started With Roscoe

Roscoe wasn't just the name behind our business. He was the reason it all began.

Roscoe was my beloved dog, and at 12 years old, he was diagnosed with arthritis. Our veterinarian recommended medication and injections to help manage his pain, but one thing was never discussed: his diet.

Roscoe was also overweight, and I knew that losing weight could help take some of the pressure off his joints. At the time, I was making my own morning anti-inflammatory smoothie and one day I thought, What if some of these ingredients could help Roscoe, too?

That simple question sent me down a rabbit hole.

I started researching canine nutrition, ingredients, inflammation, weight management, and what dogs really need to thrive. I eventually began working with a canine nutritionist to formulate a fresh, wholesome recipe specifically for Roscoe.

We replaced his kibble with fresh food and started giving him nutritious treats like green-lipped mussels, beef liver, and salmon skins.

Roscoe lost weight. He felt better. And we got two more wonderful years together.

He passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025, at the age of 14. Losing him was heartbreaking, but he left us with something incredibly meaningful: a passion for helping other dogs live healthier, happier lives.

From Our Kitchen to Yours

After everything I had learned with Roscoe, my husband suggested that I start making and selling healthy food and treats for other dogs.

When I mentioned the idea to Laura, she immediately said, "That's a dream of mine. Let's do it."

And just like that, Roscoe's Kitchen was born.

Laura is a professional dog groomer with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs. She has a wealth of knowledge about dogs, nutrition, and what makes them happy and healthy. Together, we started making our food and treats right in my kitchen, experimenting with recipes and sharing them with our own dogs and eventually with our growing community of customers.

What started with one dog has grown into a community of owners who believe their dogs deserve better.

More Than Treats

Our favorite part of Roscoe's Kitchen isn't simply making treats. It's educating dog owners.

We love talking with people about simple ways they can improve their dogs' health and wellbeing—from the benefits of goat milk as a natural probiotic to the nourishing qualities of bone broth, and so much more.

We believe that small choices can make a big difference in the lives of our dogs.

Every ingredient we choose, every recipe we create, and every conversation we have with a customer comes back to the same goal:

Helping dogs live happy, healthy lives for as long as possible.

Roscoe taught us that our dogs deserve more than simply filling their bowls. They deserve thoughtful nutrition, wholesome ingredients, and all the love we can give them.

And that is what we hope to share with every dog who comes through the kitchen.

Welcome to Roscoe's Kitchen.

Made with love. Inspired by Roscoe. Created for dogs.
